Our Committees

The Committees are the muscles of the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade County. They each handle a set of responsibilities and work daily to keep the party alive and growing. Whether it’s getting Libertarians elected, fundraising, registering new members, planning events, or lobbying for good legislation, a Committee is behind our every move.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Director: Lisa Gansky

The Communications Committee is in charge of maintaining the party’s social media presence, creating a good relationship with the press, sending constant press releases, and keeping members up to date with our actions. All advertising campaigns go through Communications.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE

Director: Josh Curtis

The Outreach Committee is in charge of recruiting new members to the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade.

ELECTIONS COMMITTEE

Director: Hector Roos

The Elections Committee is in charge of recruiting candidates for local offices and managing their campaigns. The Committee also campaigns against all proposed Special Taxing Districts, and makes sure the Libertarian base always comes out to vote in special, statewide, and nationwide elections. The Elections Committee is responsible for Operation: CDD Takeover, an attempt at getting Libertarians elected on the board of Special Taxing Districts.

LOBBYING COMMITTEE

Director: TBD

The Lobbying Committee’s main task is to help elected Libertarian officials set up agendas to push for their respective districts and to help them make decisions on controversial votes. The Committee is also in charge of building relations with elected officials from all parties to create trans-partisan coalitions and fight against bad legislation or for good laws.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Director: TBA

The Finance Committee handles all things related to fundraising. It makes sure the party has the resources to keep moving forward. The Party is proud of the fact that its contributions are mostly from small donors that are not tied to special interests. To make a contribution, please visit our DONATE page.

RULES COMMITTEE

Director: Suzanne Gilmore

The Rules Committee handles all legal aspects of the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade County. Anything from solving litigating issues, ensuring that the party is legally up to date, and proposing changes to inner rules.
